Mother’s Day May 14, 2017

Have you run out of inspiration for Mother’s Day 2017? Perhaps you’re looking for something different to do for your mother this year. Well, we thought we might give you some ideas about what is being offered. That way, you will have a few different options to choose from. Perhaps your elderly loved one has been unwell and could do with some cheering up. They do say a change is as good as a holiday.

Here, at Camberwell Gardens, we make sure special holidays are celebrated. In fact, mothers and their families are encouraged to tell us what they want for their special day. That’s why it is with great joy that we provide you with some information to help you make perhaps a novel choice.

What’s happening around Camberwell this Mother’s Day?

As usual, this Mother’s Day, all good restaurants and cafes in Camberwell will be offering special menus. However, if your elderly mother loves movies why not take her to the cinema after her favourite meal? The Rivoli Cinema in Camberwell is a Village Cinema offering normal and Gold Class. Also for your enjoyment, Dolby SRD Digital sound is in all auditoriums. Best of all it is conveniently located at 200 Camberwell Road, on the west side of Camberwell Junction in Hawthorn East.

If you have not been there before the Parking Details are:

  • Junction West Carpark, Harold Street. Free 3 hour parking, all day.
  • Evenings after 6pm some unrestricted parking Junction West, Camberwell Rd and Evans Place.
  • If using public transport, use trams number 70, 75 and 72. If necessary the train will get you to Camberwell Station.
  • The Rivoli also features a rooftop bar! On Sundays it is open from 1:30 PM to 7:30 PM. However this is subject to change depending on the weather.

Let’s venture a little further afield

At 24 years old, she has performed on stages of all sizes. Including Bennett’s Lane Jazz Club, The Basement in Sydney, Melbourne’s iconic Hamer Hall, Sydney’s Twilight at Taronga Zoo Summer Series 2016 and Darwin’s Jazz On The Green Festival ‘14.
