Visual art show

Introduction

The City of Boroondara is offering the public a stunning visual art show. Artist Kirsten Bresciani is presenting a show entitled “Florascopic”. The name is both inspiring and intriguing. Furthermore, it promises to be a beautiful display.

Spring is just around the corner. Hurray! Truly, it has been a long, cold and rainy winter. So, what a perfect way to welcome in Spring by attending this show. What’s more, if you are a carer for an elderly loved one, they may enjoy this show. Furthermore, children will most certainly enjoy it. They usually love colour, kaleidoscopes and art.

The artist, Kirsten Bresciani has produce work she calls Florascopic. It focuses on bringing branches and blooms into a studio environment and creating kaleidoscopic imagery from them. Furthermore, for the series planned at the CPW she will be drawing source material from the Boroondara area. The works are produced as inkjet prints. Moreover, they represent a contemporary technique of image creation, manipulated through digital means.

The CPW stands for The Community Project Wall. It was established as part of the Gallery’s ongoing commitment to local artists. And also for community groups. It spans close to 30m at the side entrance of the Hawthorn Arts Centre. Furthermore, this unique space is an alternative exhibition space within an arts context. If you live, work or study in the City of Boroondara, you can apply to exhibit on the Community Project Wall.

The art show will be held at the Town Hall Gallery. The address is 360 Burwood Road, Hawthorn, Victoria.
